Together with Microsoft, Accenture Federal Services is launching an end-to-end Cloud Modernization and Migration Factory on Microsoft Azure Government to satisfy the strict security requirements needed by organizations working in the U.S. national security domain, such as the Special Access Program community. Federal agencies and ecosystem partners will be supported by the one-stop shop wherever they currently reside.
“Connecting to the cloud and hardening applications are the most challenging part of any cloud journey for federal agencies, our Defense Industrial Base, and aerospace clients,” said John Goodman, CEO of Accenture Federal Services. “Accenture Federal Services is thrilled to collaborate with Microsoft in the introduction of the Cloud Modernization and Migration Factory on Azure, enabling our clients to achieve their goals through extremely competent, secure, closely watched, and robust connected services.”
The Cloud Modernization and Migration Factory on Azure, which features a secured ‘connection-in-a-box,’ would make it easier to onboard remote U.S. federal sites to ‘air gapped’ Azure Government Secret and Top Secret classified clouds, ensuring the highest level of security and protection for the most sensitive data in the country. Microsoft's secured networking principles, which can be essential for users concerned with national security, especially those in the Special Access Program community, are integrated into this solution.
U.S. national security leaders can quickly gain access to capabilities such as artificial intelligence (AI), to extract valuable insights from data, increase agility, and enable unified cybersecurity capabilities to safeguard the country's most sensitive data thanks to Microsoft Azure Government Secret and Top Secret classified clouds. Customers of the Defense Industrial Base and federal officials will have access to cutting-edge capabilities including sophisticated generative AI models and fast 5G connectivity.
Expertise in Secure Cloud Design and Operation
“When delivering solutions in government air-gapped clouds, deep cybersecurity expertise, a strong networking and cloud engineering ethos, and a relentless focus on mission success are critical,” said Jason Zander, Microsoft Executive Vice President of Strategic Missions and Technologies. “Microsoft’s world-class cloud infrastructure, combined with Accenture Federal Services’ deep expertise in designing and operating secure clouds, will help agencies accelerate the migration of classified workloads to the cloud.”
The Cloud Modernization and Migration Factory on Azure offers fully accredited security baselines for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Employing cleared cloud engineers, architects, and data scientists with extensive DevSecOps experience, the Cloud Modernization and Migration Factory has an operationalized, SECRET factory floor that is designed to safely migrate workloads from on-premises to cloud environments in accordance with legal requirements. In order to speed up modernization, Accenture Federal Services and Microsoft will also work together to develop and employ migration solutions that make use of generative AI.
