KUSANAGI 9 Free Edition, the newest web acceleration product in the cloud computing space from Prime Strategy, has debuted on two of the biggest cloud platforms, Microsoft Azure and AWS. This edition, which was developed by Prime Strategy, represents a major extension of the company's cloud-based products and is based on AlmaLinux OS 9.
As part of a larger suite, KUSANAGI 9 is also available in Business and Premium Editions, which have been around since late 2022 and early 2023, respectively. Users may now choose to utilize AlmaLinux OS 9 in all three versions thanks to the release of the Free Edition, expanding the range of features and accessibility.

Originally, KUSANAGI 8 was based on CentOS 7. But with the KUSANAGI 9 series, Prime Strategy switched to CentOS Stream due to CentOS's end-of-life (EOL). This tactical change was intended to keep up with the quickening pace of technological development. The company's dedication to meeting the changing requirements of business information systems is further shown by the incorporation of AlmaLinux OS as a platform.
The primary target environment for the creation of the AlmaLinux OS-based KUSANAGI 9 was the business sector, with a special emphasis on its Business and Premium Editions. With the release of the free edition in November 2023, AlmaLinux OS 9 is now available to users in all versions and provides a wide variety of choices.
Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Solutions
One of KUSANAGI's primary characteristics is its platform-agnostic nature. It keeps the same functionality and settings no matter which base OS is used. This adaptability would allow customers to construct a standardized, high-speed environment adapted to their chosen platform and operating system. KUSANAGI 9, which is now available on 29 platforms, could be a perfect starting point for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions due to its versatility.
KUSANAGI, which is supported on 31 major domestic and international platforms and is present in 209 areas across 34 countries, would be well-known for its very fast and secure virtual machine image. There are more than 80,000 devices in use worldwide as of October 2023.
KUSANAGI 9 would perform very well in terms of speed, able to manage over 25,000 simultaneous requests per second (HTTP) with page caching and over 210 simultaneous requests per second (HTTP and HTTPS) without page caching. Prime Strategy claims KUSANAGI to has a notable performance and efficiency advantage over a conventional LAMP setup, offering a speedup of over 2,330 times with page caching and about 20 times without it.
