ODATA provides data center services for Latin America. The company, an Aligned Data Centers firm, has now announced the expansion of its operations in Mexico. To accommodate the region’s increasing need for cloud services and IT infrastructure, ODATA plans to expand its QR01 data center in Querétaro. Furthermore, ODATA is reaffirming its commitment to the Mexican market by initiating the construction of two new hyperscale data center campuses in the area, QR02 and QR03.
The ODATA QR01 colocation data center is expanding to meet the increasing demands of the industry and provide hyperscale clients with cutting-edge capacity and technology. When completely built, the DC QR01 campus can handle up to 32MW.
“We are happy with the progress made in building our QR01 facilities,” said ODATA CEO Ricardo Alário. “The longer-term importance of data center growth in Querétaro, as well as the ongoing demand from customers in the market, are shown by this extension of QR01.”
The Guanajuato municipality is home to the DC QR02 campus, which will have a 30MW capacity. The DC QR03 campus is situated in El Marqués, a city in Mexico’s center that is 221 kilometers from Mexico City. With its 150MW installed capacity, the latter will be Mexico's biggest data center facility. Both will be focused on serving hyperscale clients.
Key Hub for Cloud Computing and Data Centers

An IDC (International Data Corporation) analysis report, published in December 2023, stated that Mexico’s IT business growth reached 22%, surpassing that of Brazil at 15%. According to the report, the Latin American market is expected to expand by 11% in 2024. This would indicate that Latin American businesses have made technological investments to boost their productivity, creativity, and competitiveness.
