Data center colocation provider Flexential has announced that CoreWeave, a cloud service provider that specializes in large-scale GPU-accelerated workloads, will expand its data center footprint into two new colocation facilities in Hillsboro, Oregon and Douglasville, Georgia. Both of these facilities are owned and operated by Flexential.
CoreWeave has developed a computational platform that is at the cutting edge of technology and is particularly built to meet the ever-changing requirements of projects including machine learning, artificial intelligence, visual effects, rendering, and pixel streaming.
According to Brian Venturo, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at CoreWeave, “Flexential’s expertise and proven track record of delivering high-density capacity on demand made them the prime pick for us. The electricity allotment for these plants is 18 MW and is split between the Georgia and Oregon markets in an equal manner. In addition, complex networking requirements were “flawlessly” implemented by Flexential, including support for InfiniBand at 3600 Gbps.
“Our partnership with CoreWeave is a demonstration of our shared commitment to the provision of next-generation computing resources,” said Patrick Doherty, the Chief Revenue Officer of Flexential. “We are passionate about supporting their vision and facilitating their continued ascent. CoreWeave will be able to continue improving the efficiency of its infrastructure and significantly lowering the expenses associated with computing thanks to this new relationship. This while preserving the flexibility necessary to respond quickly to the ever-changing requirements of our clients.”
