ChinaCache’s international operations were successfully acquired by EdgeNext, a globally scalable edge cloud service provider that powers content delivery, security acceleration, and edge computing solutions. Among Chinese CDN service providers, ChinaCache was one of the first to enter the international market.
EdgeNext would be able to deliver significantly increased scale and scope with diversified revenue across products, clients, geographies, and channels thanks to the combined assets, which will give the company a larger customer base from which to demonstrate its vision and active presence in the global market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
EdgeNext’s solutions combine an edge cloud platform with content delivery options for web applications, video content, cloud security solutions, and edge computing. EdgeNext has set up more than 1300 self-built super nodes, delivering quicker and safer experiences for Internet consumers everywhere.

With the completion of this deal, EdgeNext would improve its whole product line and expand its cloud delivery business to become one of the largest edge cloud service providers with a focus on the Middle East, APAC, and Asia-Pacific.
