Env0, an infrastructure as code (IaC) provider, announced that it has secured $18.1 million in additional funding as part of its Series A investment round, bringing the total raised to $35.1 million. The funds will be used to expedite the research and development of new solutions that help clients grow their cloud operations securely.

The funding round was led by Venture Guides, a new company established by business professionals from Bain Capital Ventures, and included participation from existing backers boldstart ventures, Grove Ventures, Microsoft’s M12, and Crescendo Venture Partners, as well as new investors StepStone Group and Knollwood Investment Advisory.

Env0 provides IaC workflow automation and management software that enables developers to create and manage cloud-native environments quickly and easily. Its solutions help clients overcome the complexity, size, and security issues they often face when using the cloud. The company grew by 450% in FY 2022, signing a number of new customers including MGM Resorts International, PayPal, VMware, and BCG. env0 will use the new funds to accelerate research and development of new products to scale customer cloud operations safely.

IaC Deployment Pipelines

Venture Guides Managing Partner Ben Nye said that env0’s solutions help customers “manage their public cloud environments safely at scale,” while also enabling developers to provide more features and products more quickly. DevOps teams may benefit from better security, lower cloud expenses, and policy protections. The IaC market is expected to grow to over $3.5 billion by 2030, with annual growth rates of over 30%. Env0 is well-positioned to take advantage of this trend with its focus on user experience, security, governance, and business objectives.

Env0’s momentum has continued with the addition of several key features, including support for CloudFormation, Pulumi, and Terragrunt, automated drift detection, and support for Azure DevOps. The company has also added enterprise-focused features, such as multi-tier workflows, audits, integration with external logging platforms, and extended role-based access control (RBAC) and OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication.
