Gcore and NHN Cloud have announced a strategic partnership to advance cloud and edge innovation globally, according to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the two companies. NHN Cloud, a division of the South Korean tech and gaming giant NHN Group, will provide Gcore with access to the Asia Pacific market, while Gcore will serve as NHN Cloud’s strategic partner in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
NHN Cloud, a leading supplier of public and private cloud services in South Korea and throughout the Asia Pacific region, will offer Gcore’s cloud infrastructure services, such as Content Delivery Network (CDN), 5G eSIM, and accelerated Artificial Intelligence (AI) processing to businesses in the Asia Pacific area. In exchange, Gcore will provide NHN Cloud customers with access to its “high-performance, low-latency” cloud and edge solutions.
The partnership would allow Gcore to expand its cloud services to the Asia Pacific region and gain access to NHN Cloud’s extensive customer base, which includes Hangame, a South Korean online gaming site with over 37 million players, NHN Payco, a payment gateway and digital wallet service, and FashionGo, an online marketplace.
11,000 Network Peering Partners

The MOU also outlines a framework for the two companies to collaborate on the development of innovative solutions and business projects.

NHN Cloud’s CEO Donghooom Kim said that Gcore’s strength in the EMEA region would be a significant benefit as the company looks to expand its customer base in the area.
