Data Protection Companies Arcserve and StorageCraft to Merge
Data and ransomware protection provider Arcserve has signed a definitive agreement with StorageCraft to merge.
Following the merger, StorageCraft will be branded ‘StorageCraft, an Arcserve Company.’ The merged company will be united under the leadership of CEO Tom Signorello, the current CEO of Arcserve, and President Douglas Brockett, the current president of StorageCraft.

Palo Alto Networks Buys Bridgecrew for $156M in Cash
Global cybersecurity solutions provider Palo Alto Networks has acquired Bridgecrew, a developer-first cloud security company, for approximately $156 million in cash.
Bridgecrew co-founders, Idan Tendler, Barak Schoster and Guy Eisenkot, and their teams will join Palo Alto Networks.
Through this acquisition, Palo Alto Networks is making a further bet that cloud security must ‘shift left,’ with security increasingly performed during the DevOps process.

Cybersecurity Company SentinelOne Buys Scalyr for $155M
Autonomous cybersecurity platform company, SentinelOne, has acquired Scalyr – a cloud-native, cloud-scale data analytics platform. Through this acquisition, SentinelOne will be able to ingest, correlate, search, and action data from any source.
Under the terms of the agreement, SentinelOne is acquiring Scalyr for $155 million in equity and cash. Through this acquisition, SentinelOne would help solve one of the biggest challenges in delivering a fully integrated XDR platform: ingesting and actioning all operational data in real-time from a security-first perspective.

Snyk Reports Record Growth in 2020, Acquires Manifold
Cloud-native application security provider Snyk has reported record growth in 2020. The company recorded a 200% year-over-year increase in revenue while also announcing the acquisition of Manifold. Snyk raised more than $350 million in new funding to recognize a valuation of $2.6 billion.
“Across the globe, we see enterprises of all sizes selecting Snyk as their cloud native application security solution for their digital transformation initiatives,” said Peter McKay, CEO of Snyk. “2020 was a record year for us because of how our global Snyk team – as well as our partners and customers – met each new challenge, putting us in a great position to lead the market in 2021 and beyond.”

Atos Acquires Cybersecurity Company In Fidem
To reinforce its cybersecurity position in the North American market, Atos has acquired Canada-based cybersecurity consulting firm, In Fidem. It would enhance Atos’ North American cybersecurity services capabilities by bringing experienced consultants to the Atos team.
The acquisition would expand Atos’ client portfolio and established expertise in cybersecurity services in Canada. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Montréal with offices in Québec City and Ottawa, In Fidem has expertise in cloud security, digital identity, risk management, security operations, digital forensics and cyber breach response. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Accenture Buys Brazil-Based Cybersecurity Firm, Real Protect
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) is extending its cybersecurity presence and capabilities in Latin America by acquiring Real Protect, a privately held, Brazil-based provider of managed security and cyber defense services (MSS). Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Founded in 2005, Real Protect is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro and has an office in São Paulo. Powered by two security operation centers (SOCs), its managed cybersecurity services business provides custom and packaged solutions to clients across Brazil. The company’s portfolio also includes threat monitoring, detection and incident-response capabilities, which will complement Accenture’s managed detection and response offerings.

Cybersecurity Services Company Intraprise Health Acquires HIPAA One
Intraprise Health, a provider of cybersecurity services and solutions, has acquired HIPAA One – a provider of HIPAA compliance automation software. The merger would allow Intraprise Health to offer an integrated set of cybersecurity and compliance software solutions to the healthcare market.
Leveraging this new suite of integrated products, CISOs and security teams can holistically address security risk management and HIPAA compliance across the continuum of their health system or network.
