Impetus Unveils AI-Powered Cloud Cost Optimizer, Promises 40% Savings

The release of its Cloud Cost Optimizer (CCO) was announced by Impetus Technologies, a digital engineering firm dedicated to providing professional services and technologies to assist businesses in achieving their transformation objectives. With its AI-powered spend anomaly detection that can save cloud expenditures “by up to 40 percent,” Impetus says it goes above and beyond typical cloud cost management offerings.

Impetus Technologies stated its clients may detect cost bottlenecks up to 50 percent quicker thanks to the granular view, which would improve resource allocation and facilitate cost-effective decision-making.

With regard to cloud cost management, Impetus' CCO is intended to help businesses overcome FinOps difficulties brought on by unbridled growth, cloud elasticity, and antiquated migration techniques. This is achieved by broadening the scope of the lens to include the use of cloud-native services across private, public, hybrid, and multi-cloud infrastructure throughout an enterprise's whole data platform.

Vice President of GTM Strategy at Impetus, Derek Larsen, said, "We recognize the mandates and challenges customers face with managing cloud spend, and CCO helps customers pivot their strategy from being cloud-first to cloud-smart. We elevate engineering and product decisions to be based on value instead of arbitrary spend limitations they encounter with AI-driven visibility into utilization across all of your cloud services and business units."

Customers may manage their cloud spending using Impetus' CCO, which is offered as-a-service, without being tied to another licensing.

“This approach frees your resources to focus on core business versus managing another tool and allows Impetus to go beyond baseline automation provided by other offers,” added Mr. Larsen.

With three basic components, Impetus would be able to enhance cost governance while providing the information and advice needed to manage cloud expenditures and optimize the return on investment of an organization's whole data estate, negating the need for organizations to modify their internal procedures to accommodate CCO.

  • A complimentary point-in-time evaluation of cloud spending to examine and pinpoint cost centers
  • Automated evaluation with a plan of action to significantly cut cloud spending, accompanied by a cloud cost adviser
  • Constant tool access and assistance for cloud expenditure analysis along with suggestions for optimization and cost reductions

The following features are emphasized in all packages to provide you with the most control over your cloud spending:

  • AI-powered anomaly detection that alerts users to expense increases and triggers automatic actions
  • Integrated view of utilization and spend across cloud services & accounts in an enterprise
  • More than 100 connectors to integrate cloud services, Jira, ServiceNow, and other third-party software
  • Cross-functional collaboration with a common platform for cost visibility
  • Chargebacks, cost allocation, and predictable budgets to enhance FinOps maturity

Impetus has assisted in the setup of cloud and data infrastructures for multiple Fortune 500 firms. These cloud systems operate entirely serverless designs for mission-critical processes, handling petabytes to hundreds of petabytes of data. Impetus Technologies claims that CCO has assisted clients in lowering their monthly cloud expenses by as much as 40%, whether the savings were from identifying unaffordable license fees or expenses related to data use.
