In Memory of Donald Wiedemeyer

Donald WiedemeyerLast week, we received the tragic news that our colleague and friend, Donald Wiedemeyer, one of the HostingJournalist.com co-founders, passed away at the age of 58.

We will never forget his personal qualities: his unwavering and highly inspirational energy; his strong personality with a can-do attitude; his determined but human approach when it comes to doing business; his profound knowledge of the online and offline publishing industry; as well as his enormous drive to succeed on an international scale.

During life, Donald garnered great respect by building a strong track record of international successes in the field of editorial development and publishing – as a publisher for at first VNU Business Publications and later on Elsevier, but most of all as the co-owner and CEO of publishing house KCI World with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Canada and China. A great businessman with a keen eye for marketing and international publishing opportunities, Donald was the (co-)owner of several other companies as well, among which Germany-based marketing agencies mediamixx and 4P-Communications – targeting cross-border communication enhancement in Germany and the Netherlands. OnlineTalentLab was the latest company he founded, focused on exploring new ways of (online) publishing within a wide variety of topic areas.

As part of OnlineTalentLab and the HostingJournalist.com team, Donald strongly believed in the editorial capabilities and the global scope of the HostingJournalist.com proposition. We truly thank Donald for sharing his knowledge and for his contributions to HostingJournalist.com. We will keep his spirit alive by taking our international news platform to the next level soon.

Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to Donald’s son Diederick who is part of our team, his sister Louise and Donald’s wife Monique.
