
Eric Boonstra, a seasoned industry veteran, has been named CEO of KEVLINX, a new pan-European operator of colocation data centers. Along with PMV and its EPICo² fund, the company recently acquired funding from Macquarie Capital. The company is now building a 32 MW facility in Brussels, Belgium with a flexible design that is highly scalable, and AI-ready. This colocation facility would be ideal for retail, wholesale, and hyperscale clients.
KEVLINX develops and manages high-performance data centers equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) for mid-to-large businesses, governments, and cloud service providers (CSPs) around Europe. KEVLINX would help clients with their IT infrastructure and digital transformation requirements, allowing them to expand and scale in an economical manner.
Prior to assuming this position, Eric Boonstra managed Iron Mountain Data Centers’ EMEA division for five years after the company acquired EvoSwitch for more than 205 million euros, a company he ran as CEO for ten years. Eric was previously a senior manager at Siemens, ABN Amro, and Staples before joining EvoSwitch. In addition, he belongs to a number of policy, governmental, and industry bodies, such as the industry organization for data centers in the Netherlands, the Dutch Data Center Association.

KEVLINX allows customers to operate with a range of densities up to 100kW and with small and big scaled workloads thanks to their flexible architecture. Funded by PMV, Macquarie Capital, and its EPICo2 fund, KEVLINX is run by a group of real estate and financial professionals with experience in managing data centers.

EvoSwitch became a well-known data center colocation supplier under his direction, renowned for its creative and environmentally friendly solutions. Throughout his time at EvoSwitch, he created new industry norms for environmental responsibility by emphasizing green and energy-efficient data center operations.
At Iron Mountain, a prominent provider of storage and information management services worldwide, Eric Boonstra held the position of Vice President. Because of his vast expertise, he was able to improve Iron Mountain’s standing in the digital infrastructure market and play a significant part in growing the company’s data center business.
