Intel, DigitalBridge Launch Articul8, a Generative AI Enterprise

The establishment of Articul8, an autonomous business providing corporate clients with a full-stack, vertically-optimized, and secured generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) software platform, has been announced by Intel and DigitalBridge, a worldwide investment firm.

The platform offers AI features that maintain client information, training, and inference within the boundaries of the business's security. Customers may choose between cloud, on-premises, or hybrid deployment options with this platform.

Intellectual property (IP) and technology developed at Intel were used in the creation of Articul8, and the two businesses will continue to strategically coordinate on go-to-market possibilities and work together to drive the adoption of GenAI in the workplace. As CEO of Articul8, Arun Subramaniyan replaces the former Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Data Center and AI Group.

“Articul8 is well-positioned to produce real commercial benefits for Intel and our wider ecosystem of clients and partners with its deep domain understanding in AI and HPC and enterprise-grade GenAI installations,” said Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. “We look forward to our continued collaboration with Articul8 as Intel accelerates AI everywhere.”

GenAI: Driving Digital Infrastructure

DigitalBridge Ventures, the venture initiative of DigitalBridge, served as lead investor of Articul8. Furthermore, Intel has acquired an ownership position in the business with a group of reputable venture capitalists, including Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures, and Zain Group.

The difficulty facing every multinational corporation today would be incorporating GenAI capabilities into their operations. With the help of Articul8’s “scalable and user-friendly” GenAI software platform, businesses would be able to extract value from their proprietary data. The CEO of DigitalBridge, Marc Ganzi, said, “We see GenAI as a pivotal force driving digital infrastructure, and we are pleased to collaborate with Intel to support Articul8's growth.”

Large corporate clients may operationalize and expand artificial intelligence with the aid of Articul8’s turnkey GenAI software platform, which aims to combine speed, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Although a variety of hybrid infrastructure options will be supported, the platform was first developed and optimized on Intel hardware architectures, including as Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs and Intel Gaudi accelerators. The team scaled the platform to enterprise customers in industry segments that required high levels of security and specialized domain knowledge, such as financial services, aerospace, semiconductors, and telecommunications, after the technology was first implemented at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

“The demands and business strategies of our customers place a premium on GenAI,” said Rich Lesser, the worldwide chair of BCG (Boston Consulting Group). “We started working together about two years ago while the project was still in Intel's incubation phase. Since then, we have implemented Articul8 products for numerous clients looking for production-ready platforms with quick time to market.”

Articul8 would be able to expand its product offerings for the larger GenAI ecosystem and expedite its go-to-market strategy now that it is an independent business backed by industry financing.
