In an effort to spur innovation in AI/ML network validation and optimization, Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) has launched their Keysight AI Data Center Test Platform, marking its entry into the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) infrastructure ecosystem. The method aims to enhance benchmarking of newly developed AI infrastructures with the highest efficiency and scalability.
The Keysight AI Data Center Test Platform would offer highly adjustable AI workload emulation, pre-packaged benchmarking applications, and dataset analysis tools to significantly enhance the performance of the AI / ML cluster network fabric, hence expediting the design and testing of AI / ML infrastructure.
The solution that Keysight offers for data centers is designed to speed up the creation of AI and ML networks. It would:
- Emulate high-scale AI workloads with measurable fidelity – Offering profound insights on the performance of collaborative communication.
- Simplify the benchmarking process - To validate the artificial intelligence (AI) network fabric, pre-packaged benchmark applications are provided. These applications were developed via agreements with the most prominent AI operators and AI infrastructure manufacturers.
- Execute defined AI / ML behavioral models - Giving users and clients the ability to share information in order to assist in reproducing trials.
- Offer a choice of test engines - Comparing benchmarking results using either artificial intelligence workload simulation on Keysight hardware load appliances and software endpoints or actual AI accelerators.
Large-scale fabric design testing and validation would be feasible in a practical and economical manner thanks to the Keysight platform. By giving AI operators access to a more scalable, reliable, and integrated AI test platform, this solution would enhance GPU-based AI/ML workload testing.
800GE Critical Driver for AI / ML Growth
“800GE is a critical driver for AI / ML growth with the technology poised to have the fastest ramp of any data center port speed in history,” said Alan Weckel, Founder and Technology Analyst, 650 Group. “AI / ML bandwidth growth will grow at over 100% per year through the end of the decade, and 800GE will play a key role in that growth. The Keysight solution is at the forefront of testing AI / ML infrastructure with many deployments set to reach production in the next 18 months.”
“It’s been proven that a high-speed Ethernet network delivers the economical scale and performance needed to reduce job completion time for processing AI / ML workloads while adhering to open standards,” said Martin Hull, Vice President, Cloud and Platforms at Arista Networks. “Keysight’s AI Test Platform is a valuable tool to validate Arista’s technological leadership in AI network design.”
“As a leader in testing ultra-high-speed 800G Ethernet networks, Keysight continues to lead the way in innovation, having formed close partnerships with hyperscalers to co-design this groundbreaking new AI test platform,” said Ram Periakaruppan, Vice President and General Manager, Network Test & Security Solutions, Keysight. “It realistically benchmarks and emulates high-scale AI workloads unlike other test tools available today.”
