This puts us in the fortunate situation where a significant portion of our hiring in Singapore has come from recommendations from existing staff members.”
Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney
This news comes on the heels of a larger expansion for Leaseweb in the Asia Pacific area. Leaseweb announced the opening of additional data centers in Tokyo and Sydney in late 2022, in addition to its third data center in Singapore. With the opening of Leaseweb's fourth data center in Singapore in April 2023, there are now ten data center sites in the Asia Pacific area.
Mr. Kraan went on, "Our ongoing growth and dedication to our Singaporean clients and staff is indicative of the importance we place on the region. The data center sector in Singapore is facing difficulties right now, including zoning limitations and a lack of available land. Nonetheless, the nation is unquestionably a significant hub for data centers, making up around 60% of Southeast Asia's data industry, and it provides a perfect entry point to both Asia and the rest of the globe. Therefore, despite the difficulties in the market, Leaseweb is dedicated to protecting its clients' data centers and offering a cost-effective, scalable service in an environmentally friendly manner.”
In December 2023, Leaseweb’s business entity in Singapore, a Singaporean company that provides the IT systems, applications, and websites that are essential to mission-critical operations, will mark ten years in business.
