Leaseweb, a global front-runner in cloud services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions including dedicated servers and cybersecurity solutions, has introduced its advanced Multi-Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Cloud Connect services in Canada. The company made the announcement at the Collision 2023 tech conference held in Toronto.
The newly released Multi-CDN solution in Canada integrates several CDN providers into a single offering that empowers businesses to amplify their global outreach and significantly refine the digital experiences they offer to end-users. The service promises the highest reliability and improved availability for seamless global content delivery.
Leveraging a smartly redundant switching mechanism, the Multi-CDN solution from Leaseweb intelligently directs web traffic, ensuring the highest performance, latency reduction, and boosted user availability. The solution is primed to be a game-changer for businesses dealing with high-bandwidth content, such as those operating in Media, Entertainment, Advertising, Marketing, SaaS, Gaming, and iGaming sectors, and offers a simple out-of-the-box solution to potential latency issues.
“With most of our Canadian customers delivering services to a global audience, the challenge of providing swift and resilient digital experiences is becoming ever more critical,” noted Roger Brulotte, CEO of Leaseweb Canada. He emphasized the need for businesses to handle increasing visitor volumes, connected devices, and growing file sizes without compromising on speed, reliability, and availability.
Leaseweb Cloud Connect
Leveraging the power of multiple industry-leading CDNs, Leaseweb boasts a substantial total capacity of 175+ Tbps and employs a performance-centric approach to decision-making. It can effectively handle any traffic spike using up to three global CDNs for real-time traffic routing, offering tailored solutions for even the most demanding customers. In a parallel development, Leaseweb Canada also announced the expansion of its Cloud Connect offering, a hybrid cloud solution providing customers speedy, secure network connectivity to the top three public cloud services – Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) – from Leaseweb's Canada Data centers.
The Cloud Connect service would allow companies to bypass the Internet and establish direct connections from Leaseweb-hosted infrastructure to these major public cloud providers. This unique offering would provide organizations with the flexibility to securely assign application workloads to the most fitting environment, optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
“Organizations are rapidly adopting hybrid cloud solutions, and we're ready to help them accelerate their hybrid cloud strategy with our bespoke Leaseweb Cloud Connect offering,” added Mr. Brulotte. He further elaborated on how the hybrid cloud model allows organizations to adjust their workloads between a public cloud and private infrastructure as their business needs evolve and their cloud adoption accelerates.
With the launch of these two products in Canada, Leaseweb is consolidating its commitment to support its customers’ cloud transformation and expansion, marking another milestone in the company’s journey towards pushing the boundaries of cloud computing.
