Nexcess, Cloudflare Team Up: CDN and Security for Managed Hosting

Nexcess, a company delivering managed hosting services designed for WordPress, WooCommerce, and Magento, part of the Liquid Web family of brands, has just announced the introduction of an integrated content delivery network (CDN) that will be powered by Cloudflare and will be made accessible to all Nexcess fully managed hosting customers at no additional cost.

Clients who have their hosting fully managed have the option of adding on Nexcess Performance Shield, which is a feature package that is packed together for clients who want even greater website speed and security.

Nexcess decided to form a partnership with Cloudflare because of the latter's extensive server network, which enables it to distribute material to users located all over the globe in a prompt and effective manner. In addition to Cloudflare's established track record of delivering “reliable and secure” services, the company also provides a wide range of enterprise capabilities that assist in defending websites against a number of assaults, such as distributed denial of service (DDoS), SQL injection, and cross-site scripting.

"We couldn't be more excited to collaborate with high-quality solutions like Cloudflare to help our clients achieve higher levels of performance and profitability,” said Ryan MacDonald, VP of Engineering at Liquid WebClients of Nexcess Performance Shield would also benefit from decreased bandwidth costs via sophisticated content compression and better page load time with Cloudflare's Argo Smart Routing, which distributes content over optimal internet routes. Both of these benefits will accrue to clients of Nexcess Performance Shield. Users may also anticipate increased website security as a result of Cloudflare's Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) defenses, which are integrated into the Cloudflare network and remain active at all times, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"We couldn't be more excited to collaborate with high-quality solutions like Cloudflare to help our clients achieve higher levels of performance and profitability,” said Ryan MacDonald, Vice President of Engineering at Liquid Web

"Our mission is to make website management easier for SMBs and enterprises alike, and one part of that is removing performance concerns as an option for our customers. It's a great example of how we're using our expertise to drive continuous innovation so that Nexcess remains the best place to build, launch, and grow online sites and stores online - something that we've helped customers achieve for more than 23 years."
