RackTop Systems, a pioneer in the field of cyberstorage data security, has partnered with Scale Computing, a well-known leader in edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions. Together, they have announced the launch of the RackTop BrickStor Security Platform (SP) on the Scale Computing Platform (SC//Platform).
This partnership would mark a significant breakthrough in real-time defense against ransomware assaults, insider threats, and data breaches.
The partnership between these two companies combines Scale Computing’s edge and hyperconverged computing infrastructure with BrickStor SP’s cybersecurity features designed for cyberstorage. This integration forms a barrier against contemporary cyber threats, offering businesses across various industries a shield for their sensitive data.
Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing, highlighted the urgency for businesses to continually seek innovative and secure updates to their IT infrastructure. He pointed out the limitations and security gaps in traditional file servers, noting that Scale Computing’s solutions are designed to ensure that critical systems are not only protected but also validated, tested, and recovery-ready at all times. The collaboration with RackTop is set to bolster the cybersecurity posture of organizations, safeguarding their valuable assets and sensitive information against the rapidly evolving cyber threats of today.
Consolidating IT Infrastructure
Blocking malware at the storage processor, BrickStor SP is designed to stop privileged and trusted users from exfiltrating data. Most importantly, it would guarantee that production data is still available to all privileged users. Its integration into Hypercore clusters for Scale Computing would provide a reliable means of consolidating infrastructure. It would also permit the addition of additional capacity and physical resources with the least amount of disturbance to current production settings when implemented as a Virtual Appliance.
Co-founder and CTO of RackTop, Jonathan Halstuch, underlined how important it is for businesses of all sizes to promote cyber resilience and streamline infrastructure management. He said that in addition to providing clients' data with simplicity, scalability, and high availability, their combined solution guarantees the data's continuous availability and guards against ransomware and data theft.
