Bytes Technology Group, a UK/Ireland-based IT solutions provider with 773 employees delivering services including managed hosting, cloud, licensing, security, storage, virtualization, and more, has announced its strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Through this collaboration, Bytes and AWS will work together to meet the need for cloud migration, modernization, and security services in the UK and Ireland.

“Our customers are looking to make their next big move on the cloud and the Bytes collaboration with AWS is helping them accelerate the move,” said Jack Watson, Managing Director at Bytes. “We have built and scaled a dedicated, fully-focused Bytes team of Engineers, Architects, Fin Ops, Security, Networking and DevOps to offer end-to-end lifecycle AWS services.”

Managed Cloud, Cloud Migration

Bytes will be able to provide joint clients with a complete value offering that addresses five key areas thanks to this partnership:
  • Solution Provider Expansion and Cloud Managed Services - Bytes would grow its clientele as an AWS Solution Provider for both current and potential clients. Additionally, it would provide fully managed AWS services, with an emphasis on lowering costs, for cloud security, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Cloud Migration and Modernization Factory - Enterprise, Small and Medium Business (SMB), Independent Software Vendor, and Public Sector clients would all be able to purchase end-to-end AWS services through Bytes. This comprises planning, carrying it out, moving, modernizing, managing, and providing assistance. Migration tasks will include moving databases, storage, and Windows and Microsoft programs.
  • Packaged Solutions for SMBs - Bytes and AWS will work together to provide bundled solutions for customer interaction, sales, and marketing to the SMB market. The solutions will be implemented on AWS cloud, making use of the platform’s cloud-native data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities, as well as its ability to customize its offerings for sectors like retail, finance, and hospitality for SMBs.
  • Expansion on AWS Marketplace - Bytes will use AWS Marketplace to grow its company and provide consumers access to third-party software and cloud professional services from partners including Veeam, Druva, CrowdStrike, Trend, Checkpoint, and Alert Logic, among others.
  • Bytes will also expand its AWS Practice and extend AWS training - More than 200 sales and technical experts will be trained by Bytes and certified on AWS as part of an expansion of its service offering. Customers of Bytes will now have access to more top cloud specialists, ensuring a smooth transition to cloud services.
“We are excited to work with Bytes to address the unique requirements of SMB customers in the UK&I to deploy migrations and cloud security,” said Amanda Sleight, Director, UKI SMB Lead at AWS. “With its proven delivery capabilities and large customer base, Bytes aims to add value to our customers by offering a one-stop-shop migration factory to accelerate customers’ path to AWS cloud.”
