Zscaler Debuts Zero Trust SASE, Powered by Zero Trust AI

Zscaler, a reputable brand in cloud security, has launched Zscaler Zero Trust SASE. Using Zscaler Zero Trust AI, this innovative approach would be a significant advancement in single-vendor SASE systems. According to Zscaler, this shift will effect users, devices, and workloads, while simultaneously cutting expenses and streamlining the process to a large extent, so making it easier for businesses to implement Zero Trust security.

At the same time, a number of plug-and-play appliances and Zscaler's Zero Trust SD-WAN solution were made generally available. With its debut, secured connectivity for a range of business environments - including data centers, factories, and branch offices - has advanced significantly. It is noteworthy for doing away with the need of conventional firewalls and VPNs, which are often seen to be inefficient.

Zero Trust architecture, a radical departure from conventional network and firewall designs, is the foundation of Zscaler solutions. Because they facilitate the migration of lateral threats, traditional designs are notorious for adding risk and complexity, and they often serve as entry points for ransomware assaults. By comparison, Zscaler's Zero Trust SD-WAN offers secured connection both in and out of the building while significantly reducing network complexity and business risk.

Establishing connections between individuals, locations, and applications is made easier using the Zero Trust Exchange Platform, a key component of these solutions. By securing device and server communication in diverse environments such as branches, warehouses, and factories, it expands the zero trust idea beyond people. Using an adaptive AI engine, Zscaler would continually assess risks associated with individuals, devices, locations, and content. With the help of third-party risk information, this engine combines data from an incredible 500 trillion daily signals.

“Users and organizations want a café-like branch experience to empower hybrid work,” said Naresh Kumar, Vice President, Product Management, Zscaler. “Employees expect the same seamless and secure access they would have in an office setting, whether they are at home or on the go, without having to access their applications over a slow, cumbersome VPN. Zscaler Zero Trust SD-WAN will connect and secure users, devices, sites, and workloads using our single-vendor SASE platform, without the cyber risks of traditional SD-WAN.”

IDC: Significant Adoption of SASE

“We continue to see strong interest and significant adoption of SASE among enterprises,” said Christopher Rodriguez, Research Director, Security & Trust at IDC.With the new Zero Trust SASE approach, Zscaler combines its Zero Trust SD-WAN solution with its industry-leading AI-powered SSE platform. Without the need for complicated overlay routing or extra firewalls, this integration enables a thorough security architecture for a hybrid workforce, guaranteeing safe Zero Trust communication.

Zscaler's Zero Trust SASE was successfully implemented by Cornerstone Building Brands, according to the company’s CTO, Mike Gemza. He saw notable progress in minimizing attack surfaces, enhancing application speed, and safeguarding against cyber threats.

“We continue to see strong interest and significant adoption of SASE among enterprises, along with a move to simplify, consolidate, and reduce costs,” said Christopher Rodriguez, Research Director, Security & Trust at IDC. “With a strong emphasis on its Zero Trust heritage, Zscaler has made a bold move to introduce a solution that combines its popular SSE platform with a new Zero Trust SD-WAN offering that can help these enterprises on their SASE journey.”

Multiple benefits would be provided by Zscaler's extensive new platform. By using a proxy to link people and devices to apps, organizations may take advantage of integrated AI-powered data protection and cyber threat features including FWaaS, SWG, CASB, and DLP integration. It would also reduce expenses and complexity while making IT teams' administration easier by doing away with the requirement for point products. Granular forwarding rules, centralized monitoring & control, and AI-powered IoT device identification and categorization are also made possible by it, strengthening user security and eliminating the need for extra firewalls and edge routers at branch sites. To conclude, Zscaler’s most recent cloud security product, Zscaler Zero Trust SASE, would provide a more simplified, secured, and effective approach to business connectivity and security.
